Representatives from Novokuybyshevsk Petrochemical Company have confirmed their participation at the CIS Petrochemicals conference. The delegation will include the Director General, the Head of the Development Department, and the Deputy Chief of Production.
The company owns a unique unit producing synthetic ethanol, as well as unit for production of para-tert-butylphenol (PTBF), which has no analogues in Russia and CIS countries.
According to Igor Sechin, Rosneft sees the Novokuybyshevsk enterprise as “a platform for the implementation of a large-scale petrochemical project in the Samara region.” The list of promising projects includes the conversion of liquefied hydrocarbon gas (LPG) and naphtha into polyolefins in Samara.
“We are aiming at bringing the share of oil and gas chemistry to 20% of the total volume of processing capacity,” Mr. Sechin added. Since March 2015, JSC Novokuybyshevsk Petrochemical Company was incorporated into the structure of PJSC NK Rosneft. In July 2017, in the central office of Rosneft a department of oil and gas chemistry has been formed to ensure those objectives are met.
