TURKMENBASHI COMPLEX OF REFINERIES EXTENDS TENDER
Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) of Turkmenistan has extended an international tender to complete the construction of a combined coking and tar deasphalting unit. Tender bids are accepted until October 24, 2018.
Also, Turkmenistan launched a complex for the production of mineral fertilizers with a production capacity of 1.16 million tons per year. According to the state information agency of the country, after four years of construction, Garabogazcarbamide was launched on time. The complex includes ammonia and carbamide production facilities, warehouses of liquid ammonia and carbamide.
After transition of the plant to planned loading, the Republic will be able to receive annually more than 2 million tons of carbamide. The new gas chemical complex covers an area of 60 hectares and is designed for annual processing of about 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas, producing 2,000 tons of ammonia per day or 660,000 tons per year.
The licensed producer of ammonia was Danish company Haldor Topsoe. Investments in the project amounted to more than $ 1.6 billion.
Turkmenistan is one of the focal countries of the Downstream Caspian and Central Asia conference, and representatives of Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries are expected to join the event in 2018 too.
