Slavneft (a joint venture of Rosneft and Gazprom Neft) plans to build a delayed coking unit at YANOS, Interfax reports, citing the company’s press secretary, Elena Myakina.
“Currently, the implementation of the project for the construction of a delayed coking unit at OJSC Slavneft-YANOS is at the stage of basic design,” she said.
It is planned that the capacity of the unit will be more than 3 million tons of heavy oil residues per year.
“The implementation of this project, estimated until 2024, will make it possible to completely abandon the production of fuel oil, significantly increasing the oil refining depth – up to 97.3%, the yield of light oil products – up to 73%,” said the company’s press secretary.
The developer of the base project and the licensor is Chevron Lummus Global LLC.
Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez has oil refining capacities of 15 million tons. The company produces gasoline and diesel fuel of the Euro-5 standard, aviation kerosene, jet fuel, a wide range of oils, bitumens, paraffin-wax products, aromatic hydrocarbons, liquefied gases and fuel oil.
Slavneft OJSC is a vertically integrated company uniting enterprises for exploration of fields, extraction of hydrocarbon reserves and their processing. Annual production of all enterprises of the company is about 15 million tons of oil. The extracted oil (with the exception of the export share) is processed at the production facilities of Slavneft-YANOS OJSC and Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC.
