Kuibyshev Azot plans to build a new ammonia nitrate granulation unit at the end of 2020. Rupec reports that GIAP has been selected as an EPC contractor for this project. Egor Krivchun, GIAP General Director will speak about current and upcoming projects in nitrogen fertilizers in Moscow on 9th of April at the CIS Gas Monetisation conference.
The start-up of this unit will allow Kuibyshev Azot to stop using old equipment that dates back to 1995, cut down energy demands and decrease emissions from ammonia nitrate production.
The estimated investment cost is 3 billion roubles, and the expected output is 2.3 thousand tonnes per day.
The Russian engineering company, GIAP, has been selected as the EPC contractor and nitrate ammonia unit licensor.
For GIAP it is the first large-scale project where we are involved as an EPC. We highly appreciate the trust invested in us by Kuibyshev Azir and intend to do our best for a succesful and timely delivery of the project – said GIAP Deputy General Director, Dmitry Bereslavskiy
This project will be delivered under the investment programme of Kuibyshev Azot, which is aimed at import substitution, expansion of existing capacities and building of new units with advanced resource-saving technologies.
