BAKU REFINERY

The refinery is currently undergoing an extensive modernisation, which is intended to increase the processing capacity from the existing six million tonne (Mt) to 7.5Mt of oil a year by the end of 2018 with a total investment estimated to be around $1 billion.

AZERKHIMIYA

The scope of work includes the modernization of the EP-300 steam cracker with construction of new cracker furnaces licensed by Technip, as well as the installation of a new refinery dry gas treatment unit, new ethylene and propylene storage and related utilities and off-sites facilities.

In addition, the project includes the modernisation of the instrumentation and new control system. It also covers control building in order to improve the overall efficiency and safety of the plant.

NITROGEN FERTILISER COMPLEX

With a budget of $650 million capital expenditure, SOCAR is planning to commission the country’s largest ammonia and urea integrated fertiliser plant by the end of 2017, and the start-up is expected to take place in early 2018.

SOCAR POLYMER

Socar Polymer’s Petrochemical complex is being constructed at the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP). The HDPE plant construction started in October 2015 and is expected to be completed in 2018. The polypropylene plant is scheduled to come online in 2017. The overall cost for the construction of the petrochemical complex is expected to reach $750m.

Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
